Antique partial real human skull medical specimen
This is an interesting skull. Unfortunately, it is now only a partial skull. The lower part of the skull including the nasal, maxilla, mandible and zygomatic bones have become separated from the skull and are now missing as is the cranium.
On the frontal is inscribed “1860 PCS” and at the rear on the occipital is “SS 1904”. I have no idea whether this is original but, given the colour and patina of the skull, it could be. Certainly an interesting bit of history / provenance.
A fine looking specimen and a great addition to a collection.
