Antique real human medical skull with great patina
This skull is quite unusual in that it has the springs that articulate the jaw but the hooks that hold the cranium in place are absent. It is possible that the cranium was cut after the skull was fully medically prepared.
The skull is in good condition for its age and still has most of the teeth present. From the style of the fittings and the condition of the skull I would estimate that this is early 20th Century.
Th skull has a great colour and patina that it has gained over many years of use and handling. There is also a hole in the lower jaw where the roots of one of the teeth are exposed. This may have been as the result of an abscess.
There are also two scars on the cranium. These seem to have healed well so they would have been quite a long time pre-mortem.
