Partial real human skull medical specimen
This is a fine example of a medically prepared partial human skull.
It has been medically prepared with the cranium cut. This would have been held in place with hooks and pins although the hooks are missing now. There are also the pins still in place which would have hooked the springs to articulate the jaw. Unfortunately, the jaw / mandible is also missing. As this is an example from a medical college, they often became separated over the years of study.
Most of the teeth are still present with only 4 missing. The teeth are also well worn showing a high grit / roughage diet. The bones are still in very good condition and interestingly, this skull has heavy bones as can be seen from the photos. The thickness of bone in the cranium and skull is unusual.
There is still the collection number from the medical college inside the skull.
