Real human jawbone/ mandible medical specimen
£125.00
Here is a medically prepared real human jawbone. This example was in a collection of bones from a medical school and still has the collection number written underneath. It would have been part of a complete skull as the springs to articulate it are still present. Unfortunately, over the years they must have become separated.
This example still has 11 teeth remaining in the mandible. The teeth are also quite worn which indicated a diet high in grit.
This jaw still has a pale colour and, judging by the springs, would have been from a skull prepared in the second half of the 20th Century.
