This is a lovely item and a really great looking skull. This is the skull of a Stargazer (Uranoscopus species). From the skull you can see exactly how they gained their name as it shows the eye sockets that are pointed almost directly above, looking at the stars. These fish are ambush predators and their prey is captured as it swims above their camouflaged bodies, partially buried in the sand.

Interestingly, the stargazers are one of a very small number of fish that can generate electricity although this doesn't seem to be part of their prey detection or feeding methods.

The skull has been professionally cleaned and assembled.

This skull measures 7.5cm long and 5cm wide.
