Antique medical real human skull
This is an early example of a real human medical skull. Judging by the brass fastenings and the dental work, I would place this at the very early 1900's.
The skull is in good overall condition with no cracks or missing pieces. here are quite a few teeth missing but given the age of the skull this is not unusual. In the photographs you can see how the jaws were built up with a dental plaster into which the teeth were set. Again, this was a very common practice in these early skulls as they were often from older adults and might have loose or missing teeth.
The springs and hooks are brass and are all still present. The design of these is also typical of the earlier skulls.
