Antique real human hand medical specimen
This is a lovely example of a real human hand where the bones have been wired together to show the articulation. This is a nice early example as can be seen from not only the style of articulation but also from the colour and patina of the bones.
The middle and distal phalanges of the second finger seem to have been re-wired at some stage although they seem to have been well done. The metacarpals would also have been wired together but most of these wires have vanished.
An interesting example of an old articulated hand with a nice colour and patination.
