Antique real Human jawbone, medical specimen. Superb patina and texture
Here is a medically prepared real human jawbone. This example was from a doctors teaching collection. The jawbone must have become separated from the skull over the years as it doesn’t match any of the partial skulls in the collection.
This example has lost most of the teeth with just six remaining. It has a superb colour and patina and also has an amazing bark like texture, usually gained over hundreds of years. I don’t know the origin of this jaw but the remaining teeth are very worn indicating a high grit / roughage diet.
I have never seen a jawbone with such good texture and colour and I would lone to have the whole skull if it was the same.
