Antique real human skull medical specimen
This is a good example of an antique medical specimen of a human skull. As you can see from the photographs the skull is intact with the cranium and the jaw both detachable. The cranium is held in place with brass hooks whilst the jaw articulates against the skull on springs.
The skull is missing quite a lot of teeth although there is one molar erupting in the lower jaw. This has a very nice colour and patina indicative of the age of the skull and that it has had much handling and use as a medical specimen.
