Antique real human skull medical specimen uncut calvarium
This is a more unusual example of an antique medical specimen of a human skull. As you can see from the photographs the skull is intact with the cranium uncut whilst the jaw is held in place and articulates against the skull on springs.
The skull is missing quite a few teeth in the upper jaw although most of the molars and premolars are still present. The styloid processes are still in excellent condition which is unusual. There has also been a small hole drilled in the top of the cranium. This might have been to hang the skull up from at some stage.
The skull has a good colour and patina gained over many years of use.
