Conulus species fossilised echinoid specimen

Here we have a nice large example of a Conulus echinoid. These lived from approximately 135 to 68 MYA. This is a large specimen measuring 7cm across and weighing 300g. On the photograph, you can clearly see the interambulacral plates on one side.
