Partial fetal disarticulated skull bones medical specimen
These three bones came in amongst a collection of disarticulated skull bones that belonged to a doctor. The collection of bones is very old and was wrapped in news-paper from 1947 so they certainly pre-date that.
These were the only fetal skull bones in amongst the others but they are of interest in themselves. As you can see from the photos, there are the two parietals and the left frontal. These bones are still in good condition which is unusual as they are egg-shell thin.
I cannot give an exact age of the infant but they look to be around new-born size and development.
