Vintage medical real human skull cranium.
This cranium was part of a collection of skulls and skeletons. It must have become separated from the skull some time in the distant past.
The pins to hold it in place and the pegs that the hooks would attach to are still present.
There is a crack in the left parietal running from the old brass peg . It looks like the separate bony plates had become loose and have been glued. This was with a gunky brown glue and a poor job was made of it as you can see the original glue. This glue does melt and soften with heat so it would not be difficult to remove and re-glue if necessary.
