Antique real human frontal bone showing persistent suture.
£195.00
This is an interesting item. This is a nice example of a frontal bone with a lovely deep bone colour and rich patina. This is very unusual in that it shows a persistent metopic suture. It has a prevalence of about 4% in females and about 2% in males. Usually, this would have fused between three and nine months of age.
The frontal has been part of a medical collection and gas two very small holes drilled though the margins (reason unknown). This frontal is in very good condition.
