Vintage Russian medical school box of slides, connective tissue.

This is an interesting and unusual item. It was part of a collection that must have originated in a Russian medical school.

This is a box of 20 prepared slides showing prepared and stained sections of connective tissue. The list of slides include (as far a google translate is accurate) tendons and cartilage sections as well as adipose tissue, ligaments and bone.

The box contains 18 slides so two of the original slides are now missing. The slides are in pretty good condition as is the original box.
