Fossilised partial Mammoth tooth

This is a part of a molar from a mammoth Mammuthus primigenius which died about 50,000 years ago. The teeth are often preserved and found in sediments in the North Sea. This one measures 14.5cm long by 8cm wide and 8.5cm deep and weighs 1100 grams. This one has split into two parts.
